Position: First Aid EMT
Type: Seasonal
Department: Safety/Security
The EMT will provide Basic Life Support and First Aid to Team Members and Guests and enforce Herschend Family Entertainment safety procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assess and provide BLS treatment for a variety of injuries and medical emergencies
- Professional use of radio
- Operate park vehicles including golf cart, van and truck as needed
- Determine if further medical attention is needed and make contact with outside emergency services if needed
- Maintain accurate records and create reports for all treatment given
- Assist with gathering information and interacting with lost parents and children
- Maintain safety protocol and enforce all safety rules throughout the park and back areas
- Walk park daily and report any safety concerns to appropriate management staff
- Clean First Aid building as needed
- Stock and inventory all supplies
- Complete training with Lifeguards to assure smooth patient transition
- Assist Park Security as needed
- Other duties as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certification as an E.M.T. by the state of Georgia (National certification is desired) and 1 plus years of experience required.
- Valid drivers license
- Minimum of one year experience as an E.M.T
