The Wild Adventures Moms Blog offers online help from a panel of Adventure Moms who want to share their personal tips, insider information, and friendly advice to help you plan your next park visit. The Adventure Moms are independent contractors and not employees of Herschend Family Entertainment Corp (HFEC). I am a Floridian who has been married to my college (Go 'Noles!) sweetheart for over 15 years. We have 3 children - a boy/girl set of twins who are 8 years old and our "tie breaker," a girl who is 7. (Yes! I had three kids in diapers at the same time and lived to tell about it.)
I left my full-time career in the IT industry to work part-time and become a full-time wife and Mom.
My hobbies are few as I invest most of my time and energy in being the CEO of my family. When I do have a spare moment, I enjoy reading popular fiction, bike riding, couponing/"deal investigating," relaxing on the beach, traveling, and riding any roller coaster I can get to!

Hello all you Wild Adventure fans! I am so proud to be on the Mom’s board. I am a United Methodist preacher’s wife. I have three teenage children- 2 girls and a boy- ages 17, 15, and 13. We have been going to Wild Adventures for 10 years- on and off- due to moves. We live in Pelham, GA which is approximately one hour from Wild Adventures. We have season passes and try to visit as much as possible. During the summer we are at Wild Adventures several times a month. We try to also go to Wild Adventures during the non-summer months. We have enjoyed the concerts, Phobia, and Christmas festivities. I like this park because it is a clean, fun, and family oriented environment. Our favorite time to go is the summer because of the fabulous water park!

ERIN - Hahira, GA
Hello! My name is Erin and I am excited to be an Adventure Mom for Wild Adventures. My husband and I have lived in South Georgia our entire lives. We are the proud parents of two beautiful girls, ages 5 and 1. Our family lives close to the park and are frequent visitors all year round. Thanks to our Gold Season Passes, during the summer months you will find us making a few trips each week to Splash Island!
I work at a local high school as a guidance counselor and am active in several organizations in town. A lot of my free time is spent advocating for the local Down syndrome group. As the mom of a Differently-abled toddler, I love having a place like Wild Adventures close by to help in my goal of exposing not only her, but both my girls, to a wide variety of activities. From a water parks to animal exhibits, music concerts to mini-golf…Wild Adventures has it all!

With Wild Adventures Season Passes, we can enjoy concerts, the Water Park and rides all year long! Whether visiting just with our family or meeting up with friends, we always feel like part of the Wild Adventures family when we visit the park. Our family is thankful to have such a wonderful family-oriented activity so close by.

LYNNE - Orange Park, FL
Hello and welcome to the Wild Adventures (WA) Moms Blog. I’m Lynne from Orange Park, Florida. If you’re not sure where that is, it’s a small town bordering Jacksonville which makes us about two hours from WA. We’ve been visiting the park since 2001 when my son was 2 and it quickly became our theme park of choice. We’ve been season pass holders ever since!
Believe it or not, we usually spend at least 2 days on each visit and never tire of all the park has to offer. Think about it, where can you go for one admission and get a water park, a theme park, an animal park, shows, fabulous concerts, and minimal wait times? WA truly has something for all ages, the people are great, the park is well maintained, and their prices are easy on the wallet.
We’re always asked what we like best. It’s so hard to answer because we like so much. I love the fact that there are so many rides and places for toddlers and young children to enjoy. I love the “big pink slide” aka Toucan Alley; my son loves the go karts and Petting Zoo; and we both enjoy the water park. If we have to pick, it’s the variety of special events – with Christmas as our absolute favorite!

MARGOT - Valdosta, GA
I am happy to be on the Wild Adventure Mom's board. I have two teenage children. Kameron who is 15 and Ian who is 13. They both keep me going none stop with all of their extracurricular activities.
I know that we spend more time at Wild Adventures during the summer. Trying to beat the Georgia heat. I love the water park. I also love that the park is small enough that it is safe enough to let my boys go off on their own and I don't worry about them. (As Much! You never stop worrying.) However, We enjoy the concerts, Phobia and the Christmas lights. The concerts alone are worth getting a season pass to Wild Adventures. Lady A was the best concert I have ever seen. Wild Adventures always has a variety of concerts to choose from.

MARNI -Ashburn, GA
I am married to a" preacher man" and have been blessed with three terrific children. I am a graduate of Truett McConnell College, however I consider my family my main accomplishment in this life. I have been surrounded by a family where I have learned to love unconditionally. I am a believer in Christ and that is the motivation for all that I do. I am passionate about living with integrity and honorong Christ in my daily walk. I have found freedom in the truth and I try to share truth in love. I do not spend my time on things that I do not find of value. Since I am a homemaker, I volunteer my time each week at the elementary school where my son attends and at the extra curricular activities that the whole family enjoys. I am very activily involved in the ministry alongside my husband. We are very much a packaged deal, however, I know and find comfort in my place as helpmate.

MELISSA - Plains, GA
Welcome to the moms blog. I am 44 years old and from the big town of Plains, GA. It’s a very small town that some folks are familiar with because President Jimmy Carter is from there. I have lived there for about 10 years. I have been married to my husband Robert for 22 years and spent most of that time serving my Country in the United States Navy. The Navy has sent us many places but our heart is in Georgia!
I work full time as a Manager for the State of Georgia. I am also a Service Officer and Treasurer for the American Legion. I stay very busy and sometimes do not know if I am coming or going! My hobbies are my KIDS!
I have 3 kids. They are Sierra—18, Matt—17 and Kelly 13. We have been visiting Wild Adventures for at least 7 years. We love going there. We get passes every year through the ticket office on the Military base. The passes are great for us because sometimes throughout the year we just want to get away but cannot really afford to go on a long trip. With a pass, going to Wild Adventures is very affordable throughout the whole year. Sometimes we take the RV and camp at KOA at night, and then visit the park during the day.
We especially love the concerts. This year we saw Skillet and they were awesome! I am glad to see that WA is bringing them back in 2012. In past years we have seen ZZ Top, Lonestar and Lynyrd Skynyrd. We cannot wait to see what other bands are coming in 2012 and we are looking forward to another great year at Wild Adventures!

MONICA - Valdosta, GA
Hello Friends! My name is Monica. I am 34 years old and from Valdosta. I have twin boys who are 5 years old. I work full-time at Valdosta State University. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. I love making wonderful memories and many of those so far have come from a number of visits to Wild Adventures. Many of my children’s “firsts” have happened at WA. From their first roller coaster ride, to feeding the giraffes, and even swimming without a life jacket in the Wave Pool! With the little free time that I have I enjoying running—it is the time I set aside to commit to my health so I can live to see my grandchildren! I just completed my first ever half marathon. I never imagined I would ever be able to run that far without stopping and live to tell about it, but, I did. Probably under getting married and having a family….my proudest moment thus far.
We have had gold passes back when they first started selling them! Even before the boys we spent plenty of nights at concerts, riding coasters and afternoons in the sun at Splash Island. Season passes are the only way to go……I am so happy we budget to buy them every year! I look forward to many memories and fun times in 2012!! I am also honored to be chosen to be on the Mom’s Board.

NIKKI - Valdosta, GA
Hi! I'm Nikki and I am an administrative assistant here in Valdosta and a freelance writer on the side. My hobbies include crafting, blogging and any new project I can get my hands on. I am married to my college sweetheart and I am the mother of a wonderful preschooler who would never leave Wild Adventures if she had her way!
My in-laws gave me the scoop on Wild Adventures when we moved to Valdosta two years ago. We went one time and we were hooked! It is so great to have a family friendly place that is so close and offers so much in the way of entertainment for all ages from toddlers and up, like concerts, animals, roller coasters and our family favorite: the water park!

RACHAEL- Abbeville, AL
34 year old, mother of two - one son age 15 y/o, and the baby - a girl, age 10 y/o. I'm a wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and great aunt. :) Currently, I am a full time registered nurse and I work twelve hour shifts. My recent losses and life experiences have made me an avid believer in "mini vacations" and a general sense that I need to 'carpe diem' , seize the day - because tomorrow is promised to no one. Yes, I have to work full time, which means - I need to play equally as hard!!!
My life revolves around my children and it is very important to me to have a strong family core, and the children to have a strong sense of family. Wild Adventures helps me accomplish this with their family oriented theme park, that has something for all of us. We have attended concerts - Mercy Me and Frankie Beverly and Maze, both were wonderful, and it was great to play all day, and wind down at the end with a concert.
