I began working at Wild Adventures in 2016, and what an adventure it has been. I started as a seasonal Petting Zoo Team Member where I served our guests with other fun, animal-loving team members.
By the end of my first season, I was given the opportunity to move up in the department as a Keeper Assistant. This position opened up doors for me to learn about and work with amazing animals and amazing people.
Over the years, I have met many dedicated and motivated co-workers who have become lifelong friends.

“I was a shy kid who did not have any leadership or people skills. It was while working here that I came out of my shell.”
I never anticipated how much of a learning experience Wild Adventures would be. I started working here my junior year of high school. I was a shy kid who did not have any leadership or people skills. It was while working here that I came out of my shell and became more interactive with people and able to perfect my leadership skills.
I love that I’m able to make an impact on the guests that come to the park every day. I also enjoy being a positive influence on our new employees just starting out who were in the same boat I was.

“I only intended to work there as a summer job. But as time went on, I quickly began to fall in love with my job and those that I worked with.”
I started working at Wild Adventures in April of 2018 as a Ride Operator on the Go Bananas team. I only intended to work there as a summer job. But as time went on, I quickly began to fall in love with my job and those that I worked with.
When it came time to go back to school, I decided I didn’t want to give up what I had worked so hard for and enjoyed so much. So, I continued working at the park while attending school.
In 2019, I was given more responsibilities and was promoted to Team Lead. Throughout the season, I began to realize how much I enjoyed my job and realized the environment of an amusement park is what I wanted to work in.
I enjoy working in such a fun atmosphere, having a positive impact as a leader and making decisions that create memorable experiences for our guests.

“I can honestly say that I have made friends here that I will have for a lifetime.”
My journey started in May 2017. I began as a team member in Lonestar BBQ and was quickly promoted to team lead. By 2019, I was named supervisor over several operating areas. Recently, I began my new role as Inventory Control & Operations Coordinator. I’m loving my new role because I get to interact with pretty much every employee at the park, and I hope I make their days brighter.
Wild Adventures really does feel like family. When you need someone in your corner or someone to talk to, there is someone there. There is always someone one checking on you to make sure you have what you need to succeed.
I also love working here because I can honestly say that I have made friends here that I will have for a lifetime.

“Coming to Wild Adventures every day fills me with excitement.”
Working at Wild Adventures has been an awesome experience. At my previous job, I wasn’t getting the growth opportunities I was looking for, and I applied at Wild Adventures to see where it could take me.
Since then, I’ve learned so much. My leadership and team work skills have improved, and I was quickly presented with opportunities for advancement.
Coming to Wild Adventures every day fills me with excitement. I get to meet new people, contribute to new projects and work through new challenges. It’s like Christmas; each day is a surprise, and I have great role models all around that push me to strive to be the best.

“I was just looking for a part time job to work at while in school. However, I instantly fell in love with working here as soon as I started.”
Working at Wild Adventures has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. Everyone here is treated like family.
When I first moved to Valdosta, I was just looking for a part time job to work at while in school. However, I instantly fell in love with working here as soon as I started. Now that I have worked here for over a year, I have learned so many things that will help me grow in the industry.
I’ve also made life long friends. Working at Wild Adventures has been a blast, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else!
