Coatimundi

The Coatimundi or Coati is a relative of the raccoon with a long, pointed muzzle, a long, bushy and ringed tail. They have colored fur from black, brown, white, grey, red, and tan. There are four different species of the coati including: Ring-tailed, Mountain, White-nosed, and Cozumel Island.

Coatis are very sociable, and are often seen in large groups called bands. When surprised the whole group will leap into the trees and emit clicking noises and woofs Coati are also very flexible animals, their ankles are double jointed and are what help enable the animal to descend trees headfirst.
